Another Arconia murder mystery has come and gone, but another dead body was found on the premises, though it could be argued that the murder was not in the building.

The newest case will take the crew overseas, as Deadline first reported. Fresh on the heels of Season 5’s finale, the series was renewed for a sixth season.

The latest cast additions include Olivia Colman and Peter Capaldi in guest star roles. With its trip across the pond, the sixth season of the murder mystery series has added quite a few British and Irish stars to its cast, including David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis, and Kathryn Hunter. Coughlan posted on Instagram that she has wrapped her time in production on the show.

Deadline also broke the news that Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous), Sean Teale (Skins), Simone Ashley (Bridgerton), Amar Chadha-Patel (Willow), Rhea Norwood (Heartstopper), Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game), and Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters) have been cast in recurring guest star roles in season six of Only Murders In The Building.

The show’s three main New Yorkers will venture across the pond. Deadline broke the news that Season 6 may head to London, and the Season 5 finale made that connection clear. No spoilers yet, but the new murder victim has connections to the continent. (Details can be found below.)

Season 4 of the cozy murder mystery comedy show spent some time in Los Angeles, marking the first alternate location.

“London is New York’s sister city. There will be all sorts of connectors,” co-creator John Hoffman told Deadline. “We will take our storytelling and steep it into this new culture and our trio will be fish in new waters.”

Hoffman also clarified that London will be the sole setting.

Season 6 will consist of 10 episodes.

Arconia doorman Lester (Teddy Coluca) was the murder victim whose death was brought justice in Season 5.

The cast for Season 6 includes many notable British and Irish actors, such as David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, and Richard Ayoade, who will join the main cast for the new season.

The new season will be set in London, marking the first time the show has been set outside of New York City.

The sixth season of Only Murders in the Building will be a significant departure from previous seasons, as the show’s three main characters will leave New York City and travel to London for the new season.
