‘The Audacity’ Season 2 Adds Usman Ally As Series Regular
Usman Ally, a seasoned actor known for his roles in The Pitt and God’s Favorite Idiot, has joined the cast of AMC’s The Audacity as a series regular in its upcoming second season.
He will portray Byron Zandani, a senior Silicon Valley lawyer who finds himself constantly navigating ethically ambiguous decisions and trying to put out proverbial fires. This complex character is worn down by the relentless drive of tech CEOs, yet he remains composed and thoughtful.
The second season of The Audacity began production last month in Vancouver, BC, and is expected to premiere in 2027. The series, created by Jonathan Glatzer, takes a darkly comedic approach to exploring the warped dreams, outsized egos, and ethical lapses of the self-styled inventors of the future.
Set inside the bubble of Silicon Valley, The Audacity delves into a world of jaded billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked tech bros, AI labs, and disillusioned teens being optimized in elite private schools. An audacious data-mining CEO, played by Billy Magnussen, strives to turn insight and influence into profit and power.
The series confronts reality, privacy, and the delusions fueling our ever-changing world. The first season of The Audacity starred Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, and Rob Corddry, and it has been renewed for a second season consisting of eight episodes.
Usman Ally brings a wealth of experience to the role, having appeared in a range of TV shows and films, including Veep, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Suits, Nobodies, and On Becoming a God in Central Florida. He has also written and directed the Palm Springs Jury Nominated Best Short Film Emigre/Americana and is currently developing a feature film script based on the short.
Ally is represented by Principal Entertainment and Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light LLP.
