The Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) leaker, known as Cyberleek, has taken an unconventional approach to their newfound notoriety. Instead of lying low and hoping the situation blows over, Cyberleek has chosen to monetize their fame by selling ads on their website.

According to the Cyberleek website, the leaker is ‘raising funds through community support and strategic partnerships.’ However, this is not done through a traditional ransom demand. Instead, Cyberleek offers premium advertising space and exclusive content opportunities to interested parties.

The website explains that ‘Sending a Monero payment enables secure contact via Session messenger for deal negotiations.’ This is where the interested parties can purchase ad placements, such as video watermarks, or request custom-made gameplay footage tailored to specific brands, including sexual content. All pricing, terms, and deliverables are discussed privately over Session.

This move by Cyberleek seems to be a bold and potentially reckless decision. The leaker appears to be inviting trouble by opening the door to external contact. This could lead to them being tracked down and confronted by Take-Two and/or US law enforcement agencies.
The price of this advertising opportunity is staggering, with a ‘donation’ of 400 Monero XMR required. This currently converts to approximately $164,730. For this amount, the buyer gets not an ad, but a message from Cyberleek, which is presumably when the ad buy negotiation actually begins.
This development raises several red flags. Firstly, who would want to associate their brand with the GTA 6 leaker? It’s a recipe for disaster, as it would undoubtedly attract unwanted attention and potential lawsuits.
The fact that Cyberleek is willing to engage in this behavior despite the risks suggests a level of recklessness or desperation. The leaker may be hoping to make a quick buck, but it’s a move that could ultimately lead to their downfall.
The situation is a fascinating example of the complexities of the gaming industry and the lengths to which some individuals will go to gain notoriety. Whether this will ultimately lead to Cyberleek’s downfall remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – it’s a story that will continue to unfold in the coming weeks and months.
