The 41st annual Imagen Awards took place on a memorable Friday night at The Beverly Hilton, celebrating Latino talent and creative work across film, TV, documentaries, digital media, and music. The now-wrapped Apple TV comedy ‘Acapulco’ emerged as the big winner of the evening, taking home a half-dozen prizes. The drama ‘Brownsville Bred’ was named Best Feature Film, while ABC’s ‘Will Trent’ and ‘Scrubs’ won the top drama and comedy series prizes, respectively.

‘Acapulco’ led the Imagen nominations with 13, and its team and Apple TV were honored with the Creative Achievement Award. The show’s director, Oscar Almengor, was recognized for his outstanding work, as was lead actor Enrique Arrizon, who tied with Twisted Metal’s Stephanie Beatriz for Best Actor – Comedy. Supporting actor Eugenio Derbez and supporting actress Vanesa Bauche also took home awards for their exceptional performances in the show.

TV drama lead acting prizes went to Manuel Garcia-Rulfo for Netflix’s ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ and Amirah Vahn for Fox’s ‘Doc.’ Michael Peña and Arienne Mandi took the supporting awards for their impressive performances in ‘All Her Fault’ and ‘Chicago P.D.,’ respectively.

The evening’s other special honor went to Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, who was presented with the President’s Award. This recognition serves as a testament to her dedication and commitment to serving the community.

Andy Garcia, a filmmaker, producer, and Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actor, received the Imagen Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
