Blumhouse Atomic Monster Teams Up With Jacob Chase for New Horror Pic ‘Sleepover’

The latest collaboration between Blumhouse Atomic Monster and acclaimed horror director Jacob Chase is set to send chills down audiences’ spines. The duo is reteaming for the upcoming Universal Pictures large-scale horror film, titled ‘Sleepover.’

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on October 8, 2027. Interestingly, Universal already had this date reserved for an untitled Blumhouse Atomic Monster picture. This upcoming horror film marks the continuation of the successful partnership between Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Chase, who previously worked together on ‘Insidious: Out of the Further.’

The latter film opened to a stellar $60.3 million worldwide box office, propelling the 16-year-old PG-13 horror franchise to a global total of $800 million. The massive success of ‘Insidious: Out of the Further’ has undoubtedly paved the way for the highly anticipated ‘Sleepover.’

Chase will be directing ‘Sleepover’ from a screenplay he co-wrote with Bryce McGuire, based on the latter’s original short story. The project is billed as the ‘quintessential sleepover nightmare,’ and Jason Blum will be producing. Additionally, Chase, McGuire, and Bea Sequeira will serve as executive producers.

Lilly Tyson is overseeing the project for Blumhouse Atomic Monster, while Sleepover is a Cinescape Entertainment production, presented by Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Atomic Monster.

Chase is represented by CAA, Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman, and The Initiative Group, while McGuire is represented by Gersh and Ziffren Brittenham. The upcoming collaboration between Blumhouse Atomic Monster and Chase promises to deliver a spine-tingling horror experience that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
