The FX network has announced the limited series ‘Legends,’ a follow-up to the hit drama ‘Sons of Anarchy.’ The series, which is set to air on FX and Hulu, reunites the cast of the original series, including Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, and Katey Sagal, who also starred in ‘Sons of Anarchy.’

Hunnam and Jonathan Groff co-created the series, which is described as a ‘meta-thriller.’ The show will follow the original cast as they play fictional versions of themselves attending a fan convention, where they face a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show.
‘Sons of Anarchy,’ which aired from 2008 to 2014, followed a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club in California as they navigated the dangers of rival gangs, law enforcement, rapists, and even a school shooting.
In addition to Hunnam, Perlman, and Sagal, the cast of ‘Legends’ will also feature Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates, and Theo Rossi. The actors will play themselves as they attend the fan convention, where they face a real-world threat that tests their skills and abilities.
The ‘90210’ reboot also featured the cast playing fictional versions of themselves reuniting in a meta revival.
Hunnam and Groff will executive produce the series with Rob Mac, Nicholas Frenkel, and Jackie Cohn. The show is set to air on FX and Hulu, although a specific air date has not been announced.
Kurt Sutter, the creator of ‘Sons of Anarchy,’ is not listed as an executive producer on the series. However, the show will continue the legacy of the original series, which had a spinoff called ‘Mayans, M.C.’
The limited series is expected to be a thrilling and action-packed ride, with the original cast facing a real-world threat that will test their skills and abilities.
