The documentary also sheds light on the tension between Guardiola and the club hierarchy, particularly after the team’s 2-0 defeat by Juventus in the Champions League on 11 December 2024.

‘In my life I made a lot of changes – I got divorced and I have to settle a bit. But no complaints at all honestly,’ Guardiola says, before insisting he is a happy man – regarding his work.

By the end of the series, however, all seems rosy again, as City claim the Carabao Cup and FA Cup to make it 20 trophies in a decade for Guardiola, and he receives a fitting send-off before the start of the rest of his life.

‘Life should not just be about football. It’s too much to be honest,’ he says, as the series comes to a close.
