Diane Warren Adopts Runaway Pig in West Hollywood: ‘Welcome Wilbur!’
The streets of West Hollywood were taken over by an unlikely celebrity this past weekend: a runaway piglet. The adorable creature, estimated to be around 11 weeks old, captured the hearts of many after a viral video showed it running through the streets, with one resident even chasing after it, shouting ‘There’s a pig in West Hollywood!’ and ‘We gotta catch the pig. Come back, pig!’
A Hollywood Ending for the Piglet
Despite the initial chaos, the piglet eventually found itself at the West L.A. Animal Services Shelter, awaiting its owner to come and claim it. However, as the days passed, no one came forward to reclaim the pig, leaving the shelter staff and local residents to wonder what would become of the little creature.
It was then that Marcia Zwilling, managing director of the Diane Warren Foundation, stepped in to save the day. A silent auction was held at the shelter to find a new owner for the pig, and Zwilling made the winning bid on behalf of Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren.
