Eight Sleep has officially rolled out its newest iteration, the Pod 6, introducing a smaller footprint that aims to fit a wider variety of bed frames while maintaining the core temperature‑regulation technology the brand is known for.

The company says the new Pod 6 occupies half the space of its predecessor, making it compatible with most standard frames. In addition to the regular queen, king and California King sizes, Eight Sleep now offers solo versions that are designed for a single sleeper. These solo units can sit on a twin mattress or occupy one side of a larger bed, allowing couples to customize each side independently.
According to Eight Sleep, the Pod 6 packs nine times more sensors than the previous model. This dense sensor grid enables granular temperature control for each user, even when partners sleep close together. The system can also disregard signals from pets or children who might share the bed, ensuring that the climate adjustments remain focused on the intended occupants.
Thanks to the upgraded hardware, the device can adjust the temperature on either side of the bed 20% faster than the earlier Pod generation, a claim the company backs with internal testing data.
The Pod 6 is available for purchase starting today in more than 37 countries worldwide. Pricing begins at $1,999 for the solo configurations and rises to $2,699 for the standard queen/king/California King models. Eight Sleep also confirms that existing accessories—such as the optional blanket, pillow cover, and base—remain compatible with the new platform.
Beyond consumer sleep products, Eight Sleep is pursuing clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to classify its Pod line as a regulated medical device for the treatment of sleep apnea. If approved, this would mark a significant step toward integrating sleep‑tracking technology into clinical care.
The firm’s global footprint has expanded rapidly over the past year, with launches in China, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Singapore. China has emerged as one of the fastest‑growing markets, contributing to the company’s statement that international sales now account for over 30% of total revenue. CEO Matteo Franceschetti told TechCrunch that the brand plans to push further into other Asian regions and Latin America.
Franceschetti also addressed the ongoing component crunch in the electronics sector, noting that AI companies are consuming large volumes of certain semiconductors and other parts. He said Eight Sleep is adjusting its supply chain to mitigate potential impacts, though he did not confirm whether any pricing changes will result. He emphasized that as the Pod devices become more compute‑heavy to support advanced AI features, monitoring component availability remains a priority.
