Juno Temple Leads ‘Intimacy Party’, an Ensemble Romantic Comedy from Director Courtney Hoffman

Acclaimed actress Juno Temple is set to star in the upcoming ensemble romantic comedy ‘Intimacy Party’, marking the feature directorial debut of Courtney Hoffman. The film is a high-concept, character-driven story that delves into the complexities of love, relationships, and vulnerability.

Written by Hoffman and Paul Kruse, ‘Intimacy Party’ follows Cleo Kauffman, a woman determined to save her relationship by recreating the intimacy party where she first met her fiancé. However, she discovers that she fell for the wrong guest. The film promises to be a wildly entertaining and emotionally honest exploration of characters who are messy, complicated, and deeply human.

The ensemble cast includes Richa Moorjani (Fargo), Meredith Hagner (Search Party), Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Brandon Kyle Goodman (Big Mouth), Miles Gutierrez-Riley (Agatha All Along), and Patrick Renna (The Sandlot). The film is currently in production in Los Angeles with a California tax incentive.

Director Courtney Hoffman, whose directorial work includes ‘American Horror Stories’ and the upcoming Kaitlyn Dever-led feature ‘The Sisters of Scott County’, drew inspiration from her own personal experience of trying everything to save a relationship that no longer worked. ‘Intimacy Party’ is a deeply personal yet universal celebration of what can happen when we let go of control and allow ourselves to be truly seen.

Producers Christopher Leggett and Rafael Marmor of Delirio Films, alongside Jesse Schiller and Hoffman, bring their expertise to the project. Amanda Massetti and Bri Hennessey of Pasta & Tacos Productions serve as executive producers, praising Hoffman’s singular point of view and ability to find humor in vulnerability while exploring bigger questions about love, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves.
