Josiah Green-Mhlanga, Karla Crome & Tom Stourton Join BBC & Starz Love Story ‘You Are Here’
Claire Foy and Matthew Macfadyen will star alongside new additions Josiah Green-Mhlanga, Karla Crome, and Tom Stourton in the BBC and Starz drama ‘You Are Here.’
Based on David Nicholls’ bestselling book, the series follows Marnie (Foy) and Michael (Macfadyen), who unexpectedly fall in love when their mutual friend Cleo (Crome) brings a group together for a walking weekend in the UK’s Lake District.
Green-Mhlanga plays Cleo’s son, Anthony, while Stourton takes on the role of Conrad, a friend of Cleo’s husband and a reluctant addition to the hike.
As reported last month, Nicholls has penned the eight-part adaptation, which will be produced by Element Pictures, the same team behind the hit series ‘Normal People.’
Lenny Abrahamson, who directed ‘Normal People,’ will be at the helm of ‘You Are Here,’ bringing his expertise to the project.
Element Pictures’ parent company, Fremantle, has secured international sales rights, with De Maio Entertainment overseeing the partnership with Starz, which has greenlit the show alongside the BBC.
The executive producers of the series include Nicholls, Abrahamson, Foy, Macfadyen, Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Emma Norton, Jonny Richards, and Anna Ferguson, with Clare Shepherd serving as the producer.
‘You Are Here’ is about finding a connection when you least expect it and overcoming the obstacles of midlife.
Treading the tricky path from loneliness to love, Marnie and Michael go coast-to-coast across the stunning (and sometimes soaking) English countryside, navigating an undeniable attraction that is as exhilarating as it is terrifying.
The show will play in the UK and Ireland on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, and in the U.S. on Starz.
